stereo, how to's?

I just got my '87 Bronco II. I was looking to put a c.d/am/fm/ipod stereo in it. I dont want to take out the existing radio because its all original, and I'd really rather not cut a whole in the dash. Just curious as to if I need anything special to connect it all, giving it's age. Any suggestions for a stereo that would work best?
