What is the difference between a suspension lift kit and a body lift kit for my 1969 Classic Ford Bronco?

I've seen terms like suspension lift kit, body lift and body kit tossed around on Early Bronco forums, but I don't know what the difference is.  What is the difference between a suspension lift kit and a body lift kit and which one should I buy for my 1969 classic Ford Bronco?

Well, I want to take my Early Bronco offroading on trails, etc.  I don't want to do anything too hard-core, but I'd like to have some fun.  You know, get some mud on the tires.

For light offroading like fire roads and easy trails, you're probably fine with the stock suspension. As to the differences, here's a breakdown for you:

Lift kits are aftermarket products that people install on their Classic Ford Broncos to improve its overall appearance and performance.  Suspension lift kits raise the suspension on your Bronco by replacing the front coil springs, the rear leaf springs and the shocks.

The advantage of installing a suspension lift kit is that you improve ground clearance and make the wheel wells ride higher.  The disadvantage of installing a suspension lift kit on your classic Ford Bronco is that you raise the vehicle’s center of gravity and make it less stable.

Suspension lift kits come in a range of heights.  Obviously, the higher the lift on your vehicle, the less stable your classic Ford Bronco will be.

Body lift kits raise the body of your classic Ford Bronco from the frame (usually about one to three inches) by installing spacers and blockers under the body.  They also increase the height of the wheel well, making it easier to put bigger tires on your Bronco; but they do not alter the ride quality. Body lift kits are usually less expensive and easier to install than suspension lift kits.

Again, in terms of actual requirements for easy trail riding, stock should handle it fine. If you're getting into more extensive trail riding and crawling, I'd recommend a suspension and body lift kit. Beyond that, it's a question of personal preference.

Hmm... It doesn't sound like I need a body lift kit, but I might need a suspension lift kit.  Might make the EB look a lil more impressive and manly. =) Thanks for your help, TrailerQueen! Definitely answered my question.
